• Game Designer, Frostveil Games Founder, Sad Flyers Fan

Mike is a long time miniature game player that works at a game store and moonlights as a game developer, pushing to bring his dream game to reality. In his spare time, he makes pizza, watches hockey, and plays games. His favorite games include Malifaux, Gaslands, Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic: the Gathering. Mike has a useless Master’s Degree.

Slapshot Showdown wears Mike’s influences on its sleeves. The Flyers’ time as the Broad Street Bullies helped set the tone for the game idea; Malifaux and Gaslands provided a great influence over gameplay, and Blood Bowl and Guild Ball paved the way for Mike’s interest in fantasy sports games. On a non-tabletop note, Mutant League Hockey, NHL ‘94, and The Mighty Ducks served as early influences, with Slap Shot later confirming Mike’s love of gritty hockey.

  • Art Director, Lead (only) Artist, Hockey Violence Enthusiast

You can find Glen’s art: here.

When he’s not drawing the creatures featured in Slapshot Showdown Glen can be found playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends or tattooing out of his studio based in southern New Jersey.

Glen has a long standing love affair with horror movies, horror graphic novels, as well as lore and stories pertaining to famed cryptids.

Glen is heavily influenced by artists such as Bernie Wrightson, Ralph Steadman, Frank Miller, George Burchett, and Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins.

  • Special Assistant to the Game Designer, Occasional DM, Stinky Weasel Baby

Nym can most often be found perched on a table corner, like a gargoyle, watching Mike work. As Special Assistant to the Game Designer, sometimes she likes to lay across Mike’s wrist while he’s trying to move his mouse. If any dice or game components are left unattended, she will steal them and run away. If her attention levels aren’t met, she will scream.

  • Head of Quality Assurance, Little Man

Newt can usually be found sleeping on Mike’s lap. When he isn’t sleeping, he likes to watch the computer screen while Mike works - as any Head of Quality Assurance should. When off the clock, he loves watching TV and he often steals socks. He also will yell very loudly at anyone he can see out the window.

  • Special Assistant to the Art Director, Cheeseburger Aficionado, Cowboy

Rueben spends his days squinting hard at the art Glen is making, offering his input where he can. Is he working hard, or hardly working? Rueben likes to spend his time sleeping, playing Red Dead Redemption 2, napping, and snoozing. He is a fan of Cheeseburgers, crunchy peppers, and bag fries.
